Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Terry             Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis

About this Live Yes! Connect Group:

To help support individuals with arthritis understand ways of improving life with pain and help educate. Letting individuals know that they are not alone in their discomfort and giving them a voice to share with others.

About: Terry

My name is Terry and I am an RN BSN diagnosed with RA 12 years ago while taking care of my parents and mother in law in our home. I have stayed physically active and have recently started being more mindful of diet. I have a supportive husband who encourages me in being independent.

While taking care of my parents at home I was involved with a support group of children taking care of parents. We meet once a month and I found it very helpful to talk about my concerns and my trials. It was also helpful to hear others story and realize that my problems were never as difficult as I thought!

I think others would find a group helpful to talk about and learn more about arthritis and rheumatic diseases.
