Live Yes! Connect for JA Parents launched: 2019

Live Yes! Connect for JA Parents Facilitator: Lindsay

About this Live Yes! Connect group for JA Parents: To help support parents and caregivers who have a child with rheumatic disease understand ways of improving their child’s life with pain and help educate them about the disease. Live Yes! Connect let individuals know that they are not alone and gives them a voice to share with others.

About: Lindsay

My 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with JA in August 2018. We were introduced to the Arthritis Foundation and several JA families right away making our new diagnosis so much easier to get through. We participated in the Jingle Bell as our first AF event and had a blast as well as connected with other families. The resources provided have helped move mountains with our daughters diagnosis. I want to make sure everyone has the resources they need to get them through this life long battle in a positive way. I have a passion for giving back and helping others as well as the time to do so. I will do anything I can to help find a cure for arthritis while raising awareness and fundraising.  I will be a very strong advocate as well as I am accustomed to not giving up or taking no for an answer in my own battle with insurance companies delaying treatment for health. I will be a voice and give all that I have until we see a cure!
