Live Yes! Connect relaunched: 2019

Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Jamila              Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid arthritis,

About this Live Yes! Connect Group:

My vision for this Live Yes! Connect group is to create a safe, positive environment where members and/or caregivers can connect with other individuals living with, or caring for those with, arthritis. The group is one of support but mostly of encouragement, accommodation, and consideration so that everyone can experience life in spite of chronic illness. Group activities will be designed to that everyone can CONNECT and say YES to physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wellness.

About: Jamila

I have lived with RA for 27 years. I was diagnosed at age 17. I have since had a wrist fusion, and bilateral hip replacements. It took me a long time to accept my RA, but once I embraced it, I found my purpose and my voice. My goal is to share my experiences in order to inspire others to live their best lives. I am married to a wonderful man, Samuel. Currently, I work as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Rehab Director. In addition to sharing my experiences, I hope to grow and gain strength and encouragement from others like me who are learning to LIVE with a new normal in order to have holistic approach to wellness.
