Live Yes! Connect relaunched: 2019

Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Cathy               Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis

About this Live Yes! Connect Group:

My vision is to bring together a social network for those diagnosed with arthritis and family members/caretakers supporting those with arthritis. I particularly have a passion for supporting young adults as they deal with such a chronic and progressive disease.

About: Cathy

My name is Cathy Richards, I am a Resident Physician and I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 30. I struggled with finding the right medication to appropriately treat my disease for an entire year. I was resistant to so many things and angry at myself for being “sick”. I am finally coming out of that and finally on a medication regimen that suits me. I want to help others struggling with the psychological aspects of arthritis. As a group we can support each other and bring understanding and awareness to each other while also hopefully educating the community and engaging in some fun activities.
