Live Yes! Connect relaunched: 2019
Live Yes! Connect Facilitator: Angie Type of Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis,
About this Live Yes! Connect Group:
My vision for the Live Yes! Connect group is to reach out to those who have been diagnosed with arthritis a place to turn to gain knowledge not only from myself or the Arthritis Foundation but from other members with their experience.
I would like to become a facilitator because I know what it is like to be diagnosed with arthritis and having no where to turn to for help or information or even to talk to with what I was going through.
I have been in a car accident back in 2008 and my left hand had been fractured by the airbag. After 6 months the fracture hasn't healed and had my first surgery. The pain intensified as a ganglion cyst on the formed on the the incision so I had a second surgery to remove the plate and screws thinking that I may have been having a reaction to the plate. Of course pain gotten worse and went to get a second opinion and they have diagnosed me with RSDS. A year later (3 1/2 years after accident) had bloodwork done by my primary and some markers were extremely high and recommended I see a rheumatologist and at the 2nd visit diagnosed me with Lupus.
I have also been diagnosed Fibromylagia, RSDS in the left hand, Osteo-Arthritis, Osteopenia and arthritis in back.
