About this Live Yes! Connect Group:
No one should be alone in this special journey. This is a group for sharing, laughing and maybe the occasional tear. Information about common experiences and connection with the Arthritis Foundation can be a cornerstone to good health and self-care.
My name is Carol and I've had JRA for all but 3 years of my life. It hasn't defined me but it does form a little bit of my personality. I teach World History to mostly high school freshmen and sophomores.
I am leading a network on the Eastside because it has been a lonely place for folks with arthritis. We have grown tremendously in population and it's time for this area to be more connected.
I was involved in a RA group many decades ago and would like to form such a group again.
My name is Linda and I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia about ten years ago. The effects of arthritis on my health are increasing as I age. I have had hand and knee surgeries due to arthritis. I look forward to sharing experiences and ideas on living with arthritis with others.
I believe my organizational skills and a lifetime of experience of living with a disability would be valuable in helping to grow this organization. I have found peer support is invaluable in learning to live with disability and chronic illness.
