About this Live Yes! Connect group for JA Parents:
To help support parents who have a child with rheumatic disease understand ways of improving their child’s life with pain and help educate them about the disease. Live Yes! Connect for JA Parents let individuals know that they are not alone and gives them a voice to share with others.
Hi I am Heidi, a mom of 5 and my 4 youngest have JIA. I also have psoriatic arthritis.
I live in Everett WA with my husband and two youngest kids (older 3 live on their own). My family and I are very active with the Arthritis Foundation. I am the Advocacy Chair for Washington State. Advocacy is one of my passions in life. I homeschool our youngest child Maggie who is 11. I am also the Troop Coordinator for American Heritage Girls, Maggie's Scout Troop. In my free time, I love to read, drink coffee and camp.
Hello, I am so happy to be a facilitatot for both the JA Support group and also the Adult Live Yes! Connect group. Both my children were born with JIA. They are now 12 and 13 years old. It took years and many many tests for our children to get diagnosed. 4 years ago I was hit really hard with Ankylosisng Spondolitis. It wasn't until then that we understood where our children got JIA.
I am determined that through my pain I will be a light to people. I am at peace with my disease and I am hoping that I can bring together people that support each other and educate each other in order to live with their disease.
I am a arthritic mom with two teens with JIA. We are a family determined to conquer arthritis!
