I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in 1976.  Back in the day of massive doses of aspirin and prednisone as treatment plans.  I'm now 34 with a supportive husband and 3 wonderfully active little boys.  I have had both hips replaced and arthritis has touched just about every joint it can find.  When not chasing my boys around I enjoy bike riding, swimming and reading.  The best evenings are spent cuddling with our Saint Bernard and watching mindless t.v.!

I was brought into AI by Tiffany Ohlin when I realized that what I was missing in my life was the unconditional and unjudgemental support of fellow survivors and fighters of this disease.  I am enthusiastic and ready to help bring AI into the Illinois Valley to continue offering that support to those who may not know that they are not alone in this daily fight.
