Arthritis United Excursion
The after-conference optional excursion is a tradition, an opportunity to spend quality time with your friends and loved ones after the action-packed weekend! This year’s excursion is extra special as we are in our nation’s Capital. We are excited to invite you to join us on Old Town Trolley’s Monuments by Moonlights Night Tour!
When the sun goes down, Washington turns into a different city, and Old Town Trolley Tours knows just the right way to show off the Capitol City at night! Enjoy a night of moonlight merriment aboard. You haven’t seen Washington until you’ve seen it at night! Their professional tour guides will take you right to some of the city’s most popular monuments and let you see the city in a different light, stopping at the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, FDR Memorial and U.S. Marine Corp (Iwo Jima) Memorial. Along the way, you’ll be transported back in time as you ride along the same streets the presidents have traveled, and hear historical tales and anecdotes about the city’s fascinating history.
Arthritis United will end at 4:00pm on Sunday. The 3-hour Washington D.C. tour will start from the Renaissance Capitol View hotel at 6:30pm. Please RSVP to Kevin Purcell firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, March 1sth. The tour is free to Arthritis United attendees. There are limited seats available, please RSVP soon to reserve your seat!
SUNDAY NIGHT DINNER (OPTIONAL)
As an optional choice for dinner, we are arranging for Earl’s Sandwiches bagged meals to be delivered to the hospitality suite at 5:30pm. Each will include a choice of a turkey or roast beef sandwich or vegetarian wrap plus potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie. (A gluten free sandwich and cookie option is available). Earl’s Sandwiches are made with freshly roasted fillings, not sliced deli meats. Each location has its own roasting ovens. Cookies are baked fresh every day.
